I just think those of us who are trying to make it don’t like to talk about them. Like, if we get 50 rejections, it means our writing sucks. It isn’t true at all, and I’m trying to break that stigma. I get rejections. A fuck-ton of them. But they show that I’m trying, and with each rejection, I’m improving. And one day, I’ll get an acceptance worth screaming about.

Took a few minutes to read this as a refreshing break from writing! I love your use of dialogue and how quickly the voices of these characters come out. You really handle the creation of a world in this flash fiction piece fantastically — I think that’s one of the hardest parts is creating a speculative world in such a small amount of time!
