So, a few months ago, I raised money for a Suicide Prevention Walk by offering to write all donators a flash story in any genre of their choosing. I’ve been slowly getting through them, and this story is my latest creation. It’s in a genre I normally don’t create in, but I had a good time writing it. I typically don’t display my stories, but I’m changing my ways this year. I hope you enjoy this little piece. Let me know what you think.
Finding the Blue Door by L. Lambert Lawson (c) 2012

L.,
Took a few minutes to read this as a refreshing break from writing! I love your use of dialogue and how quickly the voices of these characters come out. You really handle the creation of a world in this flash fiction piece fantastically — I think that’s one of the hardest parts is creating a speculative world in such a small amount of time!
Friggin’ awesome work. I’d love to read more!
Thanks sir. The who won the story wanted something in this vein, and she was pleased with the result. Thanks for the read and comment!
